Job purpose:
We are seeking an AEM Front End Developer responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Front-End solutions and web applications built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The AEM Front End Developer will take ownership of assigned development tasks, working independently while collaborating with senior team members and technical leads when addressing more complex implementations and technical challenges.
This role requires strong hands-on experience working with AEM solutions, including component development, Front-End integrations, and modern web technologies. The developer will contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, responsive, accessible, and high-quality web applications using AEM, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js, GraphQL, and REST API services.
The role also requires the ability to provide accurate progress updates and task estimates, troubleshoot technical issues, participate in code reviews, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop, maintain, and enhance Front-End solutions within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) environments.
Build and support AEM components and Front-End implementations using HTL, Sling Models, JCR, Clientlibs, Touch UI Dialogs, Granite UI, and Coral UI.
Collaborate in implementing data exchange between application layers, AEM components, structured content, and Front-End interfaces.
Integrate Front-End applications with GraphQL and REST API services to retrieve, transform, and render structured content and application data.
Translate graphical designs, wireframes, and technical requirements into responsive, accessible, and fully functional AEM web experiences.
Implement technical solutions following established AEM design patterns, development standards, and Front-End best practices.
Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable Front-End components using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js, according to the solution architecture.
Ensure implementations meet responsive, Mobile First, cross-browser, and cross-device compatibility requirements.
Build interfaces according to design specifications with attention to Pixel Perfect implementation, semantic web standards, and accessibility.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across AEM components, Front-End applications, content integrations, GraphQL integrations, REST API services, and browser environments.
Use browser debugging tools, IDEs, and debugging proxies to identify and resolve implementation issues.
Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with team members.
Work closely with Delivery, Creative/UX, Analytics/SEO, Business, Technology, and QA teams to ensure high-quality and timely web development.
Provide constructive feedback on development, QA, release, and other operational processes when opportunities for improvement are identified.
Maintain concise and clear technical and project documentation according to established guidelines and best practices.
Provide accurate status updates and reliable task estimates to senior team members and technical leads in a timely manner.
Take ownership of assigned development tasks and work independently while recognizing when technical issues require escalation or additional guidance.
Stay up to day with AEM capabilities, Front-End technologies, development practices, and technical approaches that can improve project, team, and individual performance.
Academic Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional software development experience.
AEM Developer Certification or another relevant Adobe certification is a plus.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions, including content and component development.
Strong hands-on experience implementing and maintaining AEM components, templates, dialogs, Clientlibs, and Front-End integrations.
Strong practical knowledge of AEM technologies and concepts, including HTL / HTML Template Language, Sling Models, JCR concepts, Clientlibs, Touch UI Dialogs, Granite UI, and Coral UI.
Experience translating graphical designs, wireframes, and technical requirements into functional Front-End implementations within AEM environments.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting AEM web applications, components, and Front-End integrations.
5+ years of professional experience working with Front-End technologies in complex web development environments.
Strong hands-on experience designing and developing web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, semantic web standards, and accessibility best practices.
Hands-on experience with React or Vue.js, component architecture, and reusable UI development.
Experience with Front-End automation, build, and preprocessing tools such as Gulp, Vite, Webpack, SASS, and LESS.
Professional experience working with GraphQL and REST API services, including data retrieval, integration, and Front-End consumption.
Experience consuming, transforming, and mapping GraphQL and REST API responses into maintainable Front-End components and data models.
Strong knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Strong experience with responsive web development, including a Mobile First approach.
Understanding of modern web development practices, including MVC architecture, Object-Oriented Development, Responsive Web Design, and Pixel Perfect implementation.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting web applications using browser debugging tools or plugins, IDEs, and debugging proxies.
Experience working with version control systems, including Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket.
Experience working with common web application data transfer formats, including JSON and XML.
Experience working with Scrum and Kanban methodologies and using Jira and Confluence within Agile development environments.
Ability to independently manage assigned development tasks while appropriately escalating complex technical issues.
Ability to provide clear progress updates and reliable task estimates.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development and delivery lifecycle.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
